Innovation in an Outsourced Environment & Number 1 Windows Host

Over the last 12 months, Smartbunker has won two prestigious international data centre and hosting awards and has been named as a finalist in two other major international industry awards.

In December 2007, Smartbunker was declared winner of the Data Centre Dynamics Pan-European Award for Innovation in an Outsourced Environment. The award is designed to underline the importance of the outsourcing sector. It rewards companies that have best served the industry through a clear understanding of business requirements.

In February 2008, Smartbunker was declared ‘Number 1 Windows Host’ in Web Host Directory’s award for Windows hosting. Now in its 10th year, Web Host Directory is the world’s leading guide to web hosting services and is recognised as one of the foremost independent judges of excellence in the industry. Also in February, Smartbunker’s managing director, Kelly Smith, was named as a finalist in the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ category of the UK Technology Innovation and Growth 2008 Awards.

In April 2008, Smartbunker was recognised by the Data Centres Europe Awards as a leader in the development of green data centres, naming Smartbunker as a finalist in the Data Centres Europe Green Award category.
